Back to Buyer's Guide: A Milestone

A work anniversary gift

Ten, twenty or thirty years at the same place deserves more than a plaque. The teddies here are chosen for that occasion: heritage makers and proper materials, the kind of piece that looks considered on a desk for the next ten years.

A teddy works here for a reason that surprises people. It goes on the desk or the shelf at home, it is not cute in the way a card is cute, and it outlasts the job. Steiff and Teddy-Hermann pieces are a good choice here; they read as considered rather than sentimental.

If the person has a known soft spot, a dog, a hedgehog, a bear in a particular colour, this is a good occasion to indulge it.
